Comments: I love the updates and the sunlight. Best of all were the view from inside the dumpster and the seating in the breakfast room! When you guys finally finish, you will have a show place. How great to know that all the blood, sweat and tears are yours, top to bottom, inside and out. I am very proud of both of you. mom

Comments: P.S. Forgot to give other readers an update on cat-tail-gate. (The bloody Christmas Eve cat fight on our patio.) The stray cat, now known as Bob, survived and is as annoying as ever. He does not approach our patio anymore, though. And the cat who almost certainly performed the ugly tail amputation has completely dissappeared. So, in the end (no pun intended), I guess Bob won out. No word yet on what ever happened to the 6 to 8 inches of Bob's tail between his ass and the little piece that we found. Mama

Comments: Day-um! You guys so rock. The place is looking better and better, and so sturdy! And the writing is witty as ever. You are a great read. Can't wait to see the place in July for the combo summer holiday event and roller derby! See you soon my sweet daughter. Hugs and kisses to Errek and give Lucy a treat from me! Boy, she is one bad ass looking foreman! mama

Comments: You guys are amazing. You make me feel plumb lazy. Your place is looking fabulous, but I'm most impressed by the improvements you bury. No one knows how good your plumbing is, or how strong your new ceiling is... except you. Great job.

Comments: I gotta tell ya, C, I am super impressed. You two never cease to amaze me. You just keep moving forward . . . discovering problems . . . coming up with inovative solutions . . . and just keep on pluggin' away. That says wonderful things about your characters and about your relationship. As a mom, I could not be happier with your home and with your mate. OXOX

Comments: Hi, you guys kick ass! Seeing the progress on your project really makes me miss my crafty Austin/OKC crew. All I have to say is - Please keep your blog updated, because it's totally inspiring and I know how it can be hard to keep one updated, but it gives people like me something to read during work. We're planning on buying an apt/brownstone in Brooklyn and restoring it, and this blog makes me really want to knock down some walls and build a kick ass shower like that! Have fun at flipside! :D

Comments: I just stumbled upon this blog from my cousin Brett's page. It's the best thing I've read all year! Hilarious and inspiring, which is an unusual combination. I work for a tile installation company, and your shower is beautiful - it couldn't look any better if you had hired someone to do it. You two kick ass!!

Comments: Dynamite update! I gotta say, though, as a Mom, it is much better to hear the funny stories long AFTER the fact. I would be a wreck if I was close by. You two are very brave and bring honor to all do-it-yourself-ers! And, damn, that shower is AWESOME! Bravo. I still think you should call your upcoming party a Handyman Ho Down, not hootenanny! love, mom

Comments: Finally I realize what is missing in my shower - a beer shelf!! Even though Christina is carefully hiding the label so as not to endorse a particular brand, I'm pretty sure that is my favorite Newcastle! I'll be expecting a cold one when I come down for a housing inspection or "unboarding of the doors". Great progress & good work on both of your parts! Keep me posted!!
